On September 22nd from 1pm - 5pm, Twin Leaf Brewing and Whisk AVL will collaborate on a small-batch beer and fall-centric handmade pies pairing. This pairing is the highlight of Twin Leaf’s second annual Fall Fest, their yearly event that warmly welcomes the arrival of autumn.
The pie pairings include an Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Brown Ale paired with a bourbon sweet potato pie topped with stout-soaked golden raisins, Lumosity Belgian Tripel paired with a bacon apple pie with candied pecan & bacon streusel, and Twin Leaf’s house Berliner Weisse paired with a local blueberry ginger pie topped with candied ginger and Mojito mint.
In addition to the pie pairings, Twin Leaf’s Fall Fest will include live music, local craft vendors, a charity dunking booth and a mechanical bull. Twin Leaf will also release their Oktoberfest beer and a variety of other small-batch beers. This family-friendly event aims to bring together locals and visitors alike to embrace all that autumn brings to Western North Carolina.
